Welcome to «Mentored by Marc Mozart» – your personal Mix Coaching where it’s all about your mix! No matter whether you’re an advanced audio engineer or you’ve recently started mixing – we’re here to bring your mixing skills to the next level. 

We’ve all been there: The mix sounds quite good. You’ve tested it on various systems – the kick is kind of cutting through – but you sense a conflict with the bass. The vocals sit well in the mix – but they don’t stand out and shine. And this is where we come into play. It’s our mission to fill your delta between the current sound of your mix and the way you want it so sound. 

Our promise is to really care about your individual mixing status-quo. And in order to ensure this, the «Mentored by Marc Mozart» seminar is limited to a maximum of 6 participants. This is how my team and I make sure that all of your questions will be answered!

Plus: this is a genre-open seminar: No matter whether you produce Metal, Hip Hop, EDM, Techno, Rock or Singer/Songwriter-Tunes: It’s all about the music! The techniques and tools teached work in every genre.

Prior to the coaching:

  • Tell us about your most important questions! What mixing issues are you currently facing? Preferably we’re calling via Whatsapp to have a personal 1:1 that helps me to understand and eventually answer your questions. 
  • Send us your track! Pick your latest mix (STEM format, so we can actually work on the mix during the coaching) or an inspirational reference track. Let us know what is pulling your triggers!
  • Planning to invest into new gear or your own studio? We have the latest equipment as well as the classic hardware: Just be full „hands on“ – try the gear and ask us everything you want to know. After all: You don’t need to spend a fortune on new equipment – you just need to invest into the necessary gear according to you needs. And that does not need to be expensive in order to sound good.
  • My mixing e-book bestseller „Your Mix Sucks“ comes for free with booking this program: It’s available as free download once you’ve booked this mentoring program. Having read the book is not mandatory, but it surely helps you to make the best out of the knowledge.

Day 1: We focus around your topics

• Arrival until 9.30 am : Let’s get to know each other

• 10.00 am to 12:30 am Uhr: Show and Tell – give the group a short introduction what you’re keen on learning

• 12:30 am to 1.15 pm: Light Lunch in the studio

• 1:15 pm to 3.pm: Room Acoustics, Monitoring and the Magic of the 1st listen

• 3 pm to 3.30 pm: Coffee break incl. snacks

• 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm: Mix Preparation and individual feedback to your sent track

• 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm: Casual Listening Session: Listen to your favorite tracks in a perfect monitoring environment: On B&W 802D and PMC monitor speaker – as well as on my Mom’s famous kitchen radio 

• Optional and on weekends: Let’s party in the club under my studio.

Day 2: Let’s deep dive!

• 10.00 am to 12:30 am: Foundation: Gain Staging, Mixing Low-End and Vocals

• 12:30 am to 1.15 pm: Light Lunch in the studio

• 1:15 pm to 3.00 pm: Continuity, Parallel Processing and the Dynamic of your mix

• 3 pm to 3.30 pm: Coffee break incl. snacks

• 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm: Part 2 – Continuity, Parallel Processing and the Dynamic of your mix

• 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm: Q’n’A

How to arrive and where to stay

The Marc Mozart Studio is located in Gießen (say: Geezen 🙂 ), a small town north of Frankfurt am Main.

Just book an inbound flight to Frankfurt International Airport. You can google your flights here. From Frankfurt Airport, it’s an about 1.5 hour train ride to the to the Gießen Main Station. From the Gießen station it’s only a 5 minute walk to the studio. You can check your train connections at «Deutsche Bahn» here. Please copy

Once you’ve booked the seminar, my team will personally assist you in finding a place to stay in Gießen for the duration of the seminar. We recommend arriving a day before the first seminar. And – if you’re here anyway – why don’t you just connect this mentoring with a round trip through Germany and Europe 🙂 ? 

Booking, language and minimum number of participants

  • The course can be held in English, but German is possible, too.
  • This is a Corona-safe event: Up to 3 attendants are allowed
  • The next date is a weekend-date: October 31st to November 1st

We usually have people from all over Europe attending our courses – therefore English will be the main language on site. The minimum amount of participants is three people. We therefore recommend to bring your co-producer with you 🙂 plus: In the unlikely case of not having enough reservations per coaching session, we’ll let you know four weeks in advance and automatically transfer your session to the next available course. If arrival and departure methods demand a decision but you’re unsure whether a course has enough participants: Simply ask us! Together, we’ll make sure that things work out!
